Criteria EASE (ETC Energy)
1. Work as directly as possible with the end-user and the actors involved.
2. Plan and evaluate in a participatory manner.
3. Develop organizational models and capacity building activities as much as possible in the field based on direct input and feedback of the actors.
4. Prioritize roles and responsibilities that fit the natural roles of the actors in the field
5. Involve the actors which are essential for a sustainable continuation of the project
6. Seek partnerships with private sector, if possible in a competitive setting
7. Avoid (approaches that lead to) a dependency on long-term subsidy
8. Explicitly formulate testing questions, define deliverables, identify risks and response strategies
9. Include direct monitoring, learning, knowledge management and sharing
10. Draw conclusions on how to scale up any successful impacts
11. Only work on projects that have a potential to reach at least 10 000 people
12. Out of MFS funding, EASE does not provide subsidies on equipment.
